This notice serves as a formal reminder that the Association of B-BBEE Professionals (ABP) is constituted and operates strictly as a professional body for individuals.
ABP membership is not available to companies, firms, or juristic entities. Membership is granted exclusively to natural persons for the purpose of professional recognition, development, and designation.
The primary mandate of ABP is to professionalise the B-BBEE and economic empowerment industry by:
• conferring professional designations on qualifying individuals;
• attesting to members’ competence, credibility, and ethical conduct;
• promoting adherence to recognised industry standards, codes of practice, and professional norms; and
• safeguarding the integrity and standing of the profession in the public and regulatory domain.
Professional designations issued by ABP are awarded to individuals in their personal professional capacity and may not be represented, marketed, or construed as company accreditation, certification, endorsement, or membership.
For clarity or further guidance, members and stakeholders are encouraged to consult ABP’s membership policies or contact the Association directly.
