ABP encourages and supports a culture of ongoing learning, personal and professional development and empowerment by providing opportunities for the continuous development of our Members.
SANAS also legally requires VAs to undertake CPD.
One of these opportunities is the ABP CPD webinars, held monthly throughout the year. Engaging in CPD activities ensures that both academic and practical qualifications do not become out-dated or obsolete; allowing individuals to continually ‘up skill’ or ‘re-skill’ themselves.
ABP also encourages non-Members to attend our CPD events for practical examples and this is just another of the benefits to being an ABP Member.
The ABP CPD programme is aimed at updating your skills in an effective and efficient manner that will help you to:
- improve your professional capacity;
- achieve competence in specific areas that require additional knowledge and expertise;
- apply your professional knowledge, skills, values and ethics to professional activities and responsibilities; and
- increase your credibility, transparency, accountability and stay relevant in terms of compliance and governance.
The annual ABP CPD calendar is created to address challenges faced by a Professional both in practice, as a trainee, or those working in the public sector or in corporate & industry.
B-BBEE topics are selected but we also offer broad categories of Tax, Ethics, and Business Development Webinars.
ABP CPD workshops are offered for you to not only meet your colleagues but equally relevant stakeholders in our sector, such as the dtic officials, B-BBEE Commission, SANAS, and colleagues from various Sector Charter Councils amongst a myriad of other Professionals.
Webinars may be presented on a monthly basis, which allow you to update your knowledge from the comfort of your home or office.
